RESEARCH

Updated: May 12, 2023

The induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) need to be investigated thoroughly. By experimenting with different types of 'food' we can give to the iPSCs, we try to guide them to grow into blood stem cells and regular blood cells. By observing how the anemias develop on a cellular level, we gain more understanding of the diseases and can find ways to treat them. We also study how long the blood stem cells and regular blood cells live and what the perfect environment is for the cells to grow in.
